We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Fire Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide technical support, training, and engineering expertise to our customers, partners, and internal teams on fire safety and protection systems. This role requires a deep understanding of fire engineering principles, codes, and regulations, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
– Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers and partners via phone, email, and on-site visits
– Conduct training sessions and workshops on fire safety and protection systems, including product installation, operation, and maintenance
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure effective communication and coordination
– Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and technical bulletins
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes to fire codes and regulations
– Conduct site visits and surveys to assess fire safety and protection needs, and provide recommendations for improvement
– Design and develop fire protection systems, including hydraulic calculations, piping layouts, and control panel configurations
– Perform fire risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation and compliance
– Collaborate with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with fire codes and regulations
– Develop and manage technical budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
– 3 to 5+ years of experience in fire engineering, technical support, or a related field
– Strong knowledge of fire engineering principles, codes, and regulations (e.g., NFPA, TCVN etc.)
– Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills
– Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
– Experience with fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, alarm systems, and suppression systems
– Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and hydraulic calculation software.
– Certification as a Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) or equivalent preferred
